WINTER/SPRING SOCCER          

Spring Soccer is open to ANY players that participated in Region 150's previous Fall Soccer program.

TOURNEMENT TEAMS: Bishop AYSO Tournament soccer is created to allow the more advanced players from fall soccer an opportunity to travel to compete in tournaments.  This is intended for advanced players in the 10U age group and above.  All interested players will have the chance to signup for Tryouts.  Tryouts will be held to allow coaches to view and evaluate players in various conditions that simulate game play.  Players will be selected based on their skill, sportsmanship, and effort during tryouts and the previous fall season.  The AYSO Spring Tournament Season is approximately from February thru June (start and end dates may vary based on the tournaments the coach would like to attend).  AYSO tournaments are competitive games played in various locations and will include travel expenses.  Bishop AYSO encourages all advanced players, wiling to commit to the tournament season, to tryout but not all players may be place on a team.

WINTER: Soccer for divisions 10u and above will start immediately following the Kit Carson Tournament IF there is a certified coach interested in continuing to work with players.  This "season" will run December through February.  Intent to take a team needs to be communicated by a fully Certified Coach to the Registrar ([email protected]) PRIOR to inviting players by the Friday following the Kit Carson Tournament.  If more than one coach communicates interest in the same division, by the deadline, the plan will be to see if coaches are willing to co-coach OR we will sit down with a board member and draft the 2 teams. ALL communication regarding taking travel teams MUST be communicated by email to the Registrar for tracking purposes.  Any verbal and/or text communication will not be considered when selecting teams. 

SPRING: Soccer for divisions 10u and above will start immediately after Winter soccer IF there is a certified coach interested in continuing to work with players. This season will run March through June. Intent to travel in the spring needs to be communicated to the Registrar ([email protected]) PRIOR to inviting players and by January 1st.  If more than one coach communicates interest in the same division, by the deadline, the plan will be to see if coaches are willing to co-coach OR we will sit down with a board member and draft the 2 teams. ALL communication regarding taking travel teams MUST be communicated by email to the Registrar for tracking purposes.  Any verbal and/or text communication will not be considered when selecting teams. 

**If there is a team traveling in the Winter that chooses to continue traveling in the Spring there will be no redraft of those players, however, they will still need to communicate their intent to travel to the Registrar prior to the deadline. 

All Winter and Spring teams are COACH SELECT at this time.  If a draft or tryout needs to take place the coaches choosing teams will be responsible for coordination of the tryouts and the Board will assist with communication with families and scheduling field space. 

ALL practices need to be scheduled with the Regional Commissioner ([email protected]) and placed on the City Field Schedule.  If any teams are practicing without scheduling their practices, the RC will not sign off on tournament rosters.   

ALL player fees need to be paid PRIOR to a check being cut for Tournament Registration.
