Fall Season: The main activity of the Bishop AYSO involving over 600 children ages 4-18. The main emphasis of this program is to expose the largest number of youth possible to the positive aspects of youth sports. In addition to following the six philosophies of AYSO, we strive to keep the player registration fees low ($60-80) and provide scholarship opportunities for needy families. The season typically consists of at least 8 weekly games held during late August through October. Divisions U12 and under play on Saturdays, while U15 & U19 play on week nights. Kit Carson All-Star Tournament: All-star teams are selected by the coaches of each division (U10-U19) following the regular fall season and participate in the Kit Carson all-star tournament generally held the 1st or 2nd weekend of November. This provides an opportunity for our most talented young players to participate in a large competitive tournament against other all-stars. We typically send an A & B boys and girls team for each division. The all-star teams usually have 1-2 full weeks to practice together following regular season play prior to the tournament. In addition to travel and motel costs, the registration fee is usually $40-50. Spring Select: The spring select program provides an opportunity for play in the Carson-based spring Toiyabe League or in more competitive, regional and state-wide tournaments. The "Open-registration" philosophy of AYSO is relaxed in Spring Select programs and formation of teams may vary from year to year and depend on the involvement of various individual coaches. This is generally much more expensive as teams may travel to Carson, Lancaster, Davis, or even Southern California multiple times to participate in tournaments. Adult League: The adult league is a co-ed league open to all adults adhering to the AYSO philosophies. The league plays Sunday afternoons and evenings for 8 weeks in September through October.
